Qualitech Mission Critical
WHAT WE DO

Quality and Commissioning,Owned From Start to Finish

We take on QCx management and quality management scopes for data centre and mission-critical construction across Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe and the US, and run them with our own people under our own quality system. Where you need extra capacity, we also place experienced Cx and MEP engineers in your team, and we audit packages we have no part in.

An ISO 9001:2015-aligned quality system and ISO 19011 audit practice, led by an IRCA-qualified Lead Auditor.

HOW WE WORK

Every Link in the Chain, Verified

One weak link between the grid and the rack, or between the chillers and the hall, can take a data centre down. We follow the power and cooling paths end to end and prove each link before the next one goes live. When something fails, it is raised, fixed and re-tested before anyone moves on.

01VERIFIED
Grid intake and MV switchgear
Protection settings, interlocks and first energisation witnessed.
02VERIFIED
Transformers
Factory test records checked, installation verified, energised in sequence.
03VERIFIED
LV switchgear
Breaker coordination and changeover schemes tested.
04VERIFIED
Standby generators
Load bank tests and mains-failure changeover proven under load.
05VERIFIED
UPS
Battery autonomy, bypass and transfer tested.
06VERIFIED
PDUs and busway
Torque checks, thermal imaging and labelling against drawings.
07VERIFIED
Data hall
Power proven at every rack position.
ELECTRICAL · 7 OF 7 VERIFIED

Then L5: power and cooling run together as one system, with failures introduced on purpose, before anything is handed over.

HOW WE ENGAGE

Three Ways to Engage Us

The first is the one we recommend: a defined scope that we own and run. If you need people instead, they can work to our quality system or to yours. What changes from one to the next is how much Qualitech puts its name to, and what you can rely on afterwards.

  1. 01Scope and conflict checkWe agree the scope and the engagement model, and confirm there is no independence conflict before we quote.
  2. 02Named peopleCVs go to you for approval before anyone mobilises. Every person is competence-assessed against our matrix first.
  3. 03MobiliseInductions, Safe Pass and site certification arranged. A1 forms and posted-worker notices handled outside Ireland.
  4. 04Deliver and reportOn a scope we own, the work runs to our quality system. Where our people join your team, they work in your procedures, forms and Cx platform. Either way, you get reports in the format you need.

OUR COMMITMENTS

How We Protect Your Project

Independence, safety and clear limits are written into how we work, not left to judgement on the day.

Independence protocol

  • We never audit a package where we have people deployed, under any engagement model. Nobody can author a record and audit it.
  • No one reviews or approves their own work.
  • Conflicts are checked before we quote and declared to you as soon as they arise.
  • The Managing Director can decline any engagement on independence grounds and has the final say on every finding we issue.
  • Where we act for more than one party on a project, confidentiality is held under our Terms of Engagement.

Safety on live sites

  • Safe Pass and a site-specific induction before anyone goes on site.
  • The principal contractor's rules, permits, exclusion zones and access control followed in full.
  • Arc flash / NFPA 70E awareness for anyone witnessing near energised equipment.
  • Our people do not switch, isolate or operate electrical plant. Energised tests are witnessed only under the test procedure and the site's LOTO regime.
  • Standard PPE as a minimum, plus whatever the site's arc flash assessment sets for the observation position.
  • Safety Statement prepared under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

What we don't do

  • Design, or certify design. Our L0 reviews test commissionability against the OPR and Basis of Design; they are not a design check.
  • Carry out installation or physical works, or operate plant.
  • Sign statutory certificates, including BCAR certificates, for works we did not design or supervise.
  • Instruct or vary a contractor's works, or certify under a construction contract.
  • Warrant the design, workmanship or performance of others.

Working on rotation

  • Named people, approved by you before they mobilise.
  • 10 days on, 4 off as standard, with a handover day at every changeover so nothing drops between rotations.
  • Flights, accommodation and local transport arranged by us.
  • A replacement proposed within ten working days if someone becomes unavailable.
  • Local requirements, such as third-party inspections and national test records, planned into the Cx programme early.
  • Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and agreed in writing before the work starts.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE

Every Finding Closed Out, With the Paperwork to Prove It

We raise it, the responsible party resolves it, and we review the evidence before it closes. Corrective work and final acceptance stay with the project team.

BUILT ON QUALITECH REPORTS

Qualitech Reports is our own reporting platform. Every finding is logged with its photos, evidence and close-out, so each report you receive traces straight back to the record behind it.

ProjectInspectionFindingEvidenceReport
From finding to verified evidence. Identify: the observation is captured, evidence referenced and the required action defined. Assign and correct: the responsible project party records the response and attaches supporting evidence. Verify and close: requirements are checked, closure evidence reviewed and the status recorded.
